I remembered something I’d forgotten to mention on my last blog. The day after I went to see French and Saunders I was looking online for reviews to see what other people had wrote when I came across one someone had done and they’d basically lied about the show saying it was only an hour long with a thirty minute break in the middle. It really annoyed me because the show was 2 hours long and had a 15 minute break in the middle like all theatre shows, I don’t know why they felt the need to lie so I decided to write my own review on the site.
So I wrote my review and didn’t think anything about it again until the following week when I got a email. I got a email saying my review had been put forward as review of the month. I couldn’t quite believe it because I’d only wrote my review in response to a load of rubbish and didn’t know there was such a thing as reviewer of the month. I think it’s pretty cool that I’ve been nominated and it doesn’t matter if I don’t win because being nominated is just fantastic all by itself plus I can put it on my CV which is good. I won’t find out if I’ve won until the beginning of next month but if I did win it would be wonderful just as being nominated is wonderful too.
This past week has been pretty dull because I’ve been ill since last Friday. I am feeling much better now but I’m not 100% yet. It’s just so annoying because I’ve no energy to do anything and it’s so frustraiting because I have so much to do and I’ve missed running for a week now but I’m hoping to get out again for a run this weekend although according to the weather it’s gonna piss down.
I am almost three weeks behind on my course work which is 45-60 hours because I’m meant to do 15-20 hours a week. I managed to do a couple of hours yesterday afternoon and I’m going to spend 3-4 hours doing some today. It’s just such a pain because I will now have about two weeks to do six weeks of course work and then a week to do my assignment if I’ve worked the times out correctly so that means a lot of coursework each day and I’d rather not do more than 2-3 daily but I have no choice. If I’d not been ill I could of gotten about 30+ hours done this past week but I was ill so couldn’t do any.
Work still had to be done this week and it was tough with a banging headache and tempreature etc. But got it all done and next week I just have one job to work on which will, thankfully, give me more time to study etc.
As for plans this weekend, well not doing anything today other than Study and hopefully have an early night because I am already tired because I didn’t sleep well last night and was tossing and turning the whole time. Then if it’s not pouring down in the morning I am going to go for a run, then go to JTF and shopping. I am planning on going out for a few hours tomorrow night and Sunday if it’s not raining I am going out for the day but I still haven’t decided where yet. Normally I’d want to go up to my favorite place in the Lakes but I am going there in two weeks anyway so no point in going this weekend.
Herm I think that’s about it....oh if you’ve not heard the song ’4 Minutes’ by Madonna then you really need to hear it. It’s one of the best songs I’ve heard for a long time. I got it on iTunes the other night and have played it almost non stop since.
Oh, how could I forget?!! I finally got Bon Jovi tickets to see them in Twickenham!! I thought I’d have to get them on Ebay at twice thw price because Ticketmaster ran out but then this week Ticketmaster released some more so I finally got two and paid just over £100 which is what I paid for the Manchester ones so I will be seeing them twice within less than a week - once in Manchester and then again in London (Twickenham).
My London plans are slowly coming together. I have my Bon Jovi tickets for the 28th June but we are going down on the 24th first thing in the morning on the train and then in the evening we will be seeing Nial Diamond which of course I wouldn’t normally want to see but my dad is a massive fan so I got him two tickets the other week for his birthday (10th April) and he doesn’t know yet. Then the day after the concert I don’t know what we will be doing but if the weather is good we will be sight-seeing, the places we didn’t see last time, and first thing on the Thursday morning we are off to Paris and he won’t know about that until we go to Paris and then a few days later it’s the Bon Jovi concerts at Twickenham cricket ground and we will be in London for at least two more days after that so it’s going to be at least a week but then I started to look at other places we could go to from London so if I make enough money in the next 2 months we won’t be coming back to Blackburn after the week, we will be going away for about 4 days and then back to London for one more day before coming home. Where I am not saying right now because as I said it all depends on how much I make in the next 2 months because I have yet to buy the train tickets which are £150, then the travel to Paris, then the London hotel is £600 and there are other bits and pieces to pay for so I need around £1200 for all that and then if I am going away for another four days I need another £800 so that’s £2000. Then I need £100 a day spending money so it’s a lot of money and it would mean no clothes or anything much for the next three months so I will have to wait and see how things go. You may be wondering why am I paying for it all....well it’s because it’s a father’s day present from me to my dad and yeah it’s expensive but he’s worth it and we won’t always have things like this together so I want to make the most of it and spoil him. We both love London so it’s gonna be great!!

It's a Living Thing
What a crap week it has been weather wise, it’s either raining or on the verge of raining and tonight it’s so cold. I wish I was somewhere warm either lying on the beach or having some nice cocktails by a pool.
Work this week has been busy for me, it goes from one week having not enough to having too much to do. I don’t mind having to work harder or longer days but I am so far behind on my coursework now it’s getting stupid. I’m about 30 hours behind and I want to catch up as soon as I can because before I know it my next assignment will be due so I need to spend five hours on it tomorrow and at least three hours daily although I hope to get a lot more done. Work wise this coming week shouldn’t be too bad so I can hopefully spend five hours a day on my coursework on at least two of the days later in the week which is good.
I managed to get out more running wise this week which was good and was meant to get up early this morning and go again but it didn’t happen because last night I started to feel unwell so I thought after a good nights sleep I should be OK but I couldn’t even wake up I was so tired so had some more time in bed and still woke up tired and unwell. On top of that I seem to have an injury which didn’t come on until last night. My left foot is in agony and I have a similar pain in my right food although that isn’t too bad. I know it’s a running injury because of the position I need to have the feet in for it to hurt the most but what I can’t understand is when it happened because I ran Thursday and it wasn’t until over 24 hours later when it started to hurt the way it is. It’s doesn’t feel like a muscle injury which isn’t good but also it doesn’t feel like a tendon injury because I know what that feels like so that leave bones. It’s unlikely I’ve broken any bones because I was running in trainers but it doesn’t means there isn’t a chipped bone or something but the fact of the matter yeah it can happen but in two feet not likely. So I will see how things go and hopefully the pain will go down, there is no swelling but again that doesn’t mean it’s not some kind of bone injury. So even if I was well today I couldn’t of run but I would of gone on the exercise bike if I wasn’t so tired or ill.
Running I ran Tuesday and came home and went on my exercise bike, I was so tired that night and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. On Thursday I ran more but I didn’t get the chance to go on the exercise bike because I didn’t have the time to do so because I was getting my nails done. I was meant to run and go on my exercise bike but illness and injury prevented that. I did hope to go for a walk tomorrow but that all depends on how I wake up feeling and the weather etc. If I don’t get out it won’t be the end of the world but if I feel well and it’s not raining then I’d like to get out for at least half an hour sometime during the day. I’m hoping to run Monday regardless of the weather but it all depends on how my feet feel, if they are still in pain then I will go for a walk and then go on the exercise bike. If I am still in pain in my feet by the end of the week then I will have to go and see a doctor and luckily two of the doctors I see are runners (one was a member of my running club but she’s just had to quit because she had to have a hop replacement although she’s only 40.... the other is married to a member of my running club) so they will be more understanding than other doctors.
Nothing too exciting happen this week other than buying some nice slightly expensive and highly fashionable platform sandles which are to die for as well as a couple of clothes items and some jewellery including a lovely apple necklace and a butterfly bracelet.

What are you trying to say to me
Nothing much happened this week except for French and Saunders on the Friday night. The week has been filled with work and working on my first assignment for my new course.
There is so much work to be done I don't know where to start and there is a lot of it needing to be done over this next coming week so I can see there being a lot of long days making sure it's all done on time.
My assignment was a nightmare, I basically had the choice of two questions to pick from and I picked what I thought would be the easier of the two but I was wrong because I couldn't find much material in the course books to help me with it so I basically wrote a load of rubbish and I struggled to make the 2000 word, word count so I don't think I will pass this assignment. It means I am going to have to work even hard on the next one and make sure I get a better mark to keep up with the points I need to pass the course at the end of the year. I am already a week behind on my course because we are meant to carry on studying while we work on the assignment which is on something different than what we should be studying next and I don't see how I could carry on studying and do the assignment because I'd get confussed and probably put some wrong things in it. So I'm a week behind and to keep up I need to do 15-20 hours a week so even if I could do a assignment and carry on studying that would be 5-6 hours a day on top of working for 6-10 hours daily so I'd have no life. I am hoping to get a couple of weeks ahead but that's going to be tough and might not happen this month but I will see how things go.
I finally got out for a run this week after starting a new schdule but I didn't manage to run on Thursday like I needed. I was going to run Friday but knew if I did I'd be sleepy through French and Saunders. My next run was due for Saturday morning but I was unable to get my UGG boots on let alone my running shoes so there was no chance of that so basically I have to start week one of my running schedule again so hopefully I won't have to repeat another week because I simply don't have the time to do so. I am hoping to get out for a run tomorrow but my feet still have blisters although the swelling has gone down. I will see what tomorrow brings and if the worst comes to the worst I'll just go for an hours walk or something poroviding it isn't raining.
I finally got my lovely pink GHDs on Wednesday and only used them today. They are so amazing and worth every penny, I've wanted some for a long time so it's pretty amazing that I've got some now. When I used them this morning I was more than impressed with them and glad I got them. I don't think I will get rid of the ones I already have because I might need them on day.
Thursday must of been the busiest day for me this week. I finished my assignment off, well except for 100 words, and worked the morning and then in the afternoon I needed to go to Clitheroe to see my mum and give her the Mother's Day presents I'd gotten her. She'd gotten back from Cyprus the night before. But my dad needed to go and see a client in Blackburn and one in Padium so I had to drive him to see clients as well as get my mum some flowers to go with her gifts so by the time I finally got over to Clitheroe it was after 4pm.
My mum got me a gourgous silver bracelet because she knows I prefer silver to gold and she was telling me it's pure silver out there and they have more silver than gold. Also bracelets aren't already made up and that all the gold is on wheels and you basically pick which one you want and then tell them how much you want cutting off and then they make it into a bracelet or necklace if that's what you want. So she picked the one she liked for me and got it slightly bigger than she'd get for herself because she has tiny wrists. Anyway it is slightly too big for me but not so big it falls off but I can roll the bracelet on and off my hand.
She really liked the presents I'd gotten her so I was very pleased because my mum can be hard to buy for at times. It's funny because normally I can get quite stressed trying to think of things to get for my mum but I didn't need to think about these for some reason and just got them so that's good.
It was after 6 when we left there and I was so tired I got my dad to drive. I got something from McDonalds on the way past because I was so hungry and went to Curry's because I'm after a flat screen TV for my bedroom. I found a nice 26inch Samsung one that's £500 and I want it although I did go to look for one that had a DVD player in the side but there only had a couple of 19 inch ones with them in and they didn't look as nice. I've not got the TV yet as I'm still thinking about it right now and it's not like I don't have one.
I guess that's pretty much my week. Today I've been out and done the food shopping with my dad. My feet were simply too swallen yesterday to get anything on them and standing on them was a nightmare but they are much better today and I'm just waiting for the blisters to finally burst and I know that's disgusting but my feet will feel so much better when they do.
Anyway it's time for me to go, I'm looking forward to watching the Semi Finals of Dancing on Ice in 50 minutes. I've got to have an earlyt night tonight and get up early to start work at 7am because of how much I need to do this week on top of my course work.

French and Saunders - Part III
Once the show was over we made our way outside and then made our way across to the trainstation we were oringally meant to get the train to. We wanted to find out if there was a direct train home and what time the train was and found out the direct train goes from the other trainstation at 23:10 so we got a taxi across the town centre to The Hard Rock Cafe which is quite near the station.
We had a couple of drinks there, malibu and diet coke, and left before midnight because we wanted to be back at the station for midnight in case the train left early.
By this point my feet were in pure agony because I'd worn new shoes and they'd rubbed my little toes like mad and now my big toes were rubbing and my feet had swelled and were pushing against all parts of the shoes like they were trying to break out so walking felt like I was walking on glass at that point and to make matters worse my jeans kept sliding down because I'd not put a belt on because I was wearing a waist belt above my top.
When we got to the platform the train was only a few minutes off leaving so it was a good job that we'd decided to go back slightly earlier otherwise we may of missed the train which of course wouldn't of been good. I was very relieved to sit down and take the preasure off my feet.
The journey home was slow and I was tired but had to stay awake because my dad has a habit of nodding off and Lynds was close to falling asleep next to me. The journey really dragged on taking an hour to get back, it could of gone a lot faster but I guess it has to go as fast as it's meant to go.
By the time we got back to Blackburn I had such a numb bum and couldn't wait to get walking but that was painful and hard to walk with the pain my feet were in. It was bloody cold too and standing around in that with feet feeling like I'd walked through glass wasn't my idea of a fun night out but I guess that will serve me right for wearing new shoes on a night out.
The taxi took a little while, Lyndsey had ordered two and she got in the first one and we were stood around for another five minutes for ours. I've never been so pleased to see a taxi arrive than I was when the taxi turned up. My poor feet were dying to get out of the shoes and now I was finally on my way home. The taxui driver was so nosey asking where the other one had gone because he knew two had been ordered and he was asking where we'd been and then started to go on about how he lived round the corner from where we lived and knew if we knew certain people.
Finally home I collapsed on the sofa and pulled my shoes off. My feet were swallen and bright red and hurting like crazy.
Both my dad and I were hungry so we ordered take away, he got a donner kabab and I got a chicken kabab and they are £3.50 each but when he came he charged us £11.20. I'd sent my dad to the door with a tenner and he came back in asking for change and I asked him if he was sure it was so much for two kababs. What a rip off and they weren't very good either. I've used that take away later than that time before (after 1am) and they've never charged me so much so in future I won't be using them.
I was so shattered I should of gone to bed but I ended up staying up till 2am and then went and read the program I'd got from the theatre so it was well after 3am when I put my head down to sleep but it was such an amazing night ... well except for the shoes murdering my feet.

French and Saunders - Part II

The show started with the French and Saunders theme tune followed by the big screen at the back of the stage showing a film sketched where they play the two old women. They are making their way to the show and you see they are in this buggy that is being driven by a hamsters through the countryside and through the town. When they went to a long shot, where you could see them from a distance, they turned into plastic dolls and it was so funny. Then they'd pass signs for Manchester and make their way into the theatre still being driven by a hamster on this buggy and then the screen went blank and this mini buggy with the dolls on was driven across the stage to a load of laughter from the audience.
Then on walk French and Saunders in matching outfits which are basically a piss take out of Simon Cowel. They have grey trousers on that come up to their arm pits and black long sleeve t-shirts underneath and black coverse trainers. They play themselves at this point and Jennifer (Saunders) mentions that some of Dawn's (French) family are in the audience and Dawn turns round and has a go at Jen for mentioning her family and they have a play fight and end up throwing themselves on the floor and basically fighting with fresh air.
One of the first sketches they go into is based at a bus stop and they play teenagers. Jens character is telling Dawn's character that she has a boy coming round and that her parents are going to be away to which Dawn goes into hilerious detail about the size of a mans "togger" and idicates the size with her arm and it's about 3 foot long. She says that when you have sex the "togger" goes inside the girl and keeps bashing against the hymen until it breaks, when the hyman breaks a egg falls out (she idicates the size of the egg with her hands again and it's about 2 foot big) and tells her there is green slime and blood everywhere and she has to clean it up with the towels that she had to put down before sex and put the egg in the towel and flush it down the toilet otherwise she will have a baby. It was just so funny.
While Jen went off and got changed Dawn went into the audience and stole people's chocolate and generally made people laugh a lot. Then Jen did the most hilerious parady of Madonna and the song "hung up" but her own version. So it started like the original video (this was shown on the big screen) where madonna goes into a dance studio with a big stereo and starts dancing round and posing in front of the mirror. Well Jen comes on (on screen) and she has the leotard on etc like Madonna but comes in with the biggest stereo ever. She had giant, almost knee length, skin coloured knickers on under the leotard which was obviously done on purpose and was sooo funny. She is doing really dodgy dancing in front of the mirrors and pulling the leotard out of her arse. Then the screen goes blank and the stage hands wheel on a wall with a pole on and on comes Jen as Madonna and gyrates up and down the pole just like Madonna did in her live shows and then starts to do the dodgy dancing around the stage and pretends to hurt herself and pretends not to be able to get up with was so funny and on walks Dawn and tells her off for trying to do Madonna at her age (in fact Jen is the exact age as Madonna). Then she has to help her across the stage to where a big white sofa has been brought on. I must admit Jen has a nice pair of legs and certainly aint shy because you could see her black knickers under the skin coloured tights because they were bigger than the leotard she had on. I must admit I almost wet myself laughing during this Madonna piss take, it was just so funny and you need to see it to appreciate it.
They did the original Ab Fab sketch were Dawn played Saffy, they did it word for word. That TV show is one of my all time TV shows so when they started the theme tune for it I was really made up about it because the character from the show who Jen plays, Edina Monsoon, is my all time favorite TV character and I truly hope she writes another series of it. It was so amazing to see it live in front of my very eyes and it's not something I will ever forget. I'd love to be in that TV show if only for one episode it would be like a dream come true for me. To true form the sketch was very funny.
They did a lot of pre-recorded sketches which of coursse gave them time to go off and get changed into other outfits to play other characters.
All of a sudden Born to be Wild started to be played and Jen and Dawn came on in their old ladies outfits on electric shooters and drove round the stage. That was so funny, laugh a second comedy and when they left the stage on the scooters the big screen came on and it saw them go out the theatres back door and down onto the main road where they drove along it (obvious pre-filmed) and Jen's scooter had a backet at the front with a flask in which she opened and poured a cup of tea and passed it to Dawn's character. They ended up in a gym and bumped into two of the professional dancers from Strictly come dancing. Then the stage turned into a Strictly come dancing stage with Dawn's old lady character coming on with Anton Du Beck which turned out to be a dummy and Jen's charachter came on with Brendan Cole which again was a dummy. They both danced round this these dummies and for those who don't know about Brendan he's a bit of a player who gets together with the celebs he dances with so they played on that with Jen going out of sigth for 5 seconds and she came back on with Bredan upside down up her skirt and then he ended up on to of her on the floor having sex with her.
During the show when they played themselves they were pissing around joking about who is the bigger start out of the two of them from their shows Vicar of Dibley and Ab Fab. Personally I think it's Jen because she's been in lots of big films including playing the fairy godmother in Shrek 2. Anyway near the end Dawn walks on with this 20 foot moving doll of her character from Vicar of Dibley while Jen was in a white box on stage. Jen was pretending not to like Dawn's character from the show and started insisting she was a comedy godess when all of a sudden the bix lid opened and Jen went floating upwards on these wires. She had a white flowing gown on that went to the floor and had these massive arms and when she spoke this big earthy voice was replaced over hers and all this smoke appeared and it was so funny and she was basically telling Dawn to admit she was the bigger star when one of her arms fell off and Dawn went and got the rope that was holding Jen up and swung her across the stage, up and down and all over the place and wouldn't lift her up until she admitted Dawn was much bigger than she and in the end she did.
They did their own version of Abba's "Thank you for the music" at the end and it was funny and brought a tear to my eye because after the tour there will be no more French and Saunders and then they bowed and went off.
Then two voices started to shout "cab for French and Saunders, Cab for French and Saunders" and on came Jen and Dawn in the outfits of the two dirty old men. OMG! This was so funny, the men come on and they always talk about "giving on to" women etc and said "oh she's wants it, she wants me to give it to her" while they pointed at an audeience member. They then went up to a wall that had been placed on the stage and turned their backs to us and pretended to piss on it. Then Jen's character turned round and his dick was hanging out. I was in a total fit of giggles at this point and couldn't stop laughing, it was just so funny. It looked so real and the of course Dawn's character turned round with his nob out and Jen's put hers away but Dawn's couldn't get his away so Jen's had to do it and the other character got off on it and they ended up dry humping each other *LOL*!!
They then took their wigs and maks off and took their final bows before rushing off the stage.
What a show!! I loved it and I would love nothing more than to see it again, I wish I could see every night of the tour because it wss just so wonderful and I am so sad to know they aren't going to do it anymore, I wish they would because they are wonderful and so funny live.
I've not gone into detail about all the show because that would simply take way too long but it was probably one of the best nights of my life, never laughed so much and would love to see them again if that was ever possible.
French and Saunders - Part I

French and Saunders have always been a duo who have been in my life whether it's as a partnership or as French or Saunders in their various character roles. They are both idols of mine especially Jennifer Saunders so when I found out they were touring this year for the final time I had to make sure I'd see them. I got my tickets about nine weeks ago and had been counting down the days until it was finally the 7th March 2008. When the day arrived I was so excited but also a little stressed because of clothing issues but that wasn't going to ruin what was going to be a fantastic show.
The morning of the show I had to rush out and get a new outfit to wear because items I'd ordered either came or didn't fit or came and had faults or didn't turn up at all. So I rushed round some shops and got a lovely new bag, a ring, some amazing shoes, some black smart bootcut jeans and a purple preppy type shirt. Got home and the shirt didn't fit so I was worried, thought I better look and see what I've got and found a new top I'd forgot I had and it went with everything else I was going to wear so that made everything OK again.
Fast forward to 4:40pm. I was meant to be at the trainstation to meet Lyndsey but the taxi wasn't here. The train was at 4:58 so I was panicking and worried I was going to miss it. By 4:50pm my dad decided to drive us down and leave the car at the station overnight. We got there with five minutes to spare and tried to run up to the platform to get tickets. Luckily for us the train was 10 minutes behind schedule so we were happy about that but there was no signs of Lynds. Lynds finally turned up a few minutes before the train was due and we gave up waiting to get tickets and made our way across to the right platform. Standing there was no fun because it was blowing a breeze and my hair was flying round all over the place and the train was running even further behind so we weren't too pleased as we stood there getting colder and colder. When the train finally arrived we were happy to get a seat for our slow journey down to Manchester.
We were meant to go to one Manchester station and change over for another but we decided to get a taxi across to the theatre because we knew it wasn't far. But first we went up to McDonalds and had a double cheese-burger each to help fill a hole. Then off we went in search of a taxi which then drove us round in circles to get us to the theatre and all of us sat in the back knowing what he was doing. Finally we got there and he dropped us round the corner when it would of been just as easy to drop us outside or across the road but never mind.
Now it was time to find a bar for a nice drink before the show but we ended up walking the wrong way then getting directed another way and ending up near where we started before we eventually found somewhere to have a drink. I guess you could call it a hard rockers bar because of the music and because of how everyone was dressed. The three of us fit in like a sore thumb so to speak. Two drinks later and we were off in search of some chocolate to eat and some plasters for my little toes which were rubbing in my new shoes.
Mini eggs and two free plasters later Lynds was shoving a carrier bag down my coat and making me feel like a bit of an idiot as we lined up to get into te theatre. I was standing there thinking people were gonna think I was deformed or something or the chocolate was going to melt over over me and I'd look like I'd had a weird kind of fake tan accident.
Bought a program and then went in search of a toilet before buying a small bottle of water and heading for our seats. We had a great view from where we were so I was happy for that and a few minutes later it was time for the show to start.
As I Am - Part II
I went to Ikea on Wednesday. I'd been wanting to go for a while for two reasons, the first was I needed another DVD/CD rack because I've filled up all the four I already have and have more DVDs/DVDs to start filling another and there is a table and chair set we've been after for a while. So we ended up going to the Manchester one around 4pm on Wednesday and we took the Sat Nav which decided to take us the wrong way when we got to Ashton Under Lyne (that's where it is for those who don't know) and took us down a dead-end street in the opposite direction. We eventually got there after turning off the sat nav. I really enjoy walking around Ikea, when you go the first time it's very confussing and a different experience but once you get used to how things work it makes it so much easier and I just love walking round there looking at things because I always spot things I end up going back and getting. We always get a lot more than we went for and end up with a IKEA bag full with bits and bats and for those who don't know what size Ikea bags are they are MASSIVE and cost 30p but they can be reused but we alwayd forget to take one back with us.
We got the table and chair set we've wanted for ages and some really nice cushions for the chairs. The cushions were only £3 each which I thought was a total bargain because they look amazing and make the chairs look heaps better. We got some bamboo-ess placemats which look amazing too. I finally got a blind for my bedroom after wanting to get one for a long time now and my dad put it up for me this afternoon along with my mirror. Got another fleece throw for the sofa, they are so amazing and everytime I see a new colour I have to get it and it's hard to believe they are under £2 each. We also got an blue bathmat because we don't like the one we had because it looked too much like a towel. We just got generally bits and bobs. The next day we got a Ikea statement thing which had a voucher in saying if we spend £60 we get a £10 voucher, well we could of done with that the day before!! We will be going back in the next 2-3 weeks because there is a sofa there that I want and my dad wants two blinds for his bedroom and I want some big cushions for the sofa and a few other little things.
I think I'm having a driving lesson this week which I'm looking forward to but I must admit I can be a bit of a nightmare. I'm really confident and good at everything except for reverse parking, you know the one where you have to reverse round a corner, but that's not why I'm such a nightmare. Basically if I didn't have my Ls on the car you wouldn't know I'm a learner and also because I am constantly complaining about leaners especially when I get stuck behind one and they are dreadful at driving, I must confess they really do test my patience. On Saturday I was stuck behind one all the way to Accrington from Intack, they were so slow, well I was stuck behind 5 cars and at the front of us was a learner. Also on Saturday I think all the crap drivers were out, OMG, because I had a lot of them, more than normal, doing dogdy stuff in front of me and they totally pissed me off and my dad was glad when we weren't driving because he was sick at me shouting and swearing at them. I was fine when I wasn't driving but there were 100 times more on the road than normal and they wound me out so much, I was a lil pissed off about something else so they got me even more wound up than normal.
Finally started my assignment today and am just over 500 words into it. I am clueless what else to write and really need to go through my course book and write some notes so I can do a better argument because basically at the moment I'm saying social practice is more important than art or technology to film historians but I've not said why or how I've come to that or how I've managed to take techology and art out of the equation so I need to work out why myself so I can write it much better. I want to get up to 1100-1300 tomorrow as well as doing some notes so I have my work cut out for me. I have until Thursday to finish so the more I get done the sooner the better but I also have to work but I think I will do my assignment in the morning and work until 8pm in the evening work wise so then I'm doing the assignment with a fresh rather than a tired brian.
I've just watched Dancing on Ice and it's back on in 20 minutes so I'm off to get the washing outta the washer and sort it. I think I'm going to go to bed and watch Stardust again after DIO if there isn't any films on TV and then hopefully be asleep before midnight.

As I Am - Part I
Well I'm sat here trying my best to avoid starting my assignment, I don't even know what the question is yet and I've not even done all the coursework so I'm really dreading starting it right now to be honest. It's due on Thursday and it's 2000 words and I don't feel like doing it in all honesty but I have no choice. Today I am meant to get as much done as I can, I find the first 500 words and the last 500 words the hardest because they are the ones that include the introduction, the start, the ending and the conclusion so it's the main part of the assignment that I do find the easiest part of the lot but it's the bits where I don't know what I'm quite doing or wanting to say etc that I find the hardest. I did have a goal today of doing around 800 words but the way things look I might have to settle for 500 but no less. That will take me ages because once I read the question I will have to look back in my course books for inspiration and spend a few hours writing some notes and will often have to keep looking back at things. When I start this I don't know but I certainly won't be going to bed until I've done 500--800 words and if I'm still sat here at 2am doing them then so be it!!
For all those of you who know me well enough you'll know that I barely (rarely) ever eat chocolate but for the past 2 weeks I've been having at least one a day and that's not good for my diet but I just seem to be craving them and need to get off them so tomorrow I'm going cold turkey. I'm actually sat here with one of those massive ones in front of me and my choice of chocolate bar right now is Cadbury's Dairy Milk with Caramel. But I need to kick this habit so this will be my last one for a long time hopefully, I feel stressed today hence the size of the chocolate bar but also they are only £1 in Asda haha.
I got two really good albums this week, one of which I've wanted for a long time...it's called The Very Best Of Legends - The Definitive Collection. There is a lot of the good oldies on this one, I know it won't be everyones cup of tea but there are a load of songs on here that I think are totally amazing. The second album I got was Alicia Key's new album As I Am which is also very good, I've been listening to it on and off for the last 3/4 days and I'm really enjoying it and I must say it's her best album to date and I'd highly recommened it.
Talking of good things I've bought this week, I got Stardust, finally, and I LOVE IT!! It is fantastic!! I couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD and I finally got it on Tuesday in Tesco and it's just amazing. I read the book about 2 years ago and that was just wonderful and the film is such a good adaptation of the book. The characters actually looked how I'd pictured them in my head as I read the book so that made the film even more wonderful to watch. I did start to watch it again in bed last night but I was so tired I must of fallen asleep around 15 minutes into it. If you've not seen it then you should get it because it's utterly brilliant!!
The week has been filled with work for me, it's good when I have so much work to do because I prefer to be doing something although I find it tiring especially with coursework too. My dad came home with a new job the othernight and it's the neatest set of books/paperwork I've ever seen so I'm happy plus it also saves time too but there are 100s of things like invoices etc in there so there is up to a weeks work in it although looking at it, it didn't look that much until I started to go through it. I still have a job to do which I will be finishing tomorrow but I am sure it'll take me the whole day to get that done and I've also got to work on my assignment too so this week it looks like it's going to be long days for me. I'll certainly be glad when this week is out of the way.
I had my nails done on Thursday and I am so pleased with them. They look amazing and I keep catching myself looking at them. They felt really strange at first and I've had to learn how to do things with them because I can't do things how I did before I had them done and the hardest thing is texting. They took a lil while to do but they look so good, at first it was a shock seeing them like this but now I just think they look great and I'm so happy with them
Hmm...what else?..erm....(!) Nothing too exciting really, I discovered a really great magazine called ZEST which is probably one of the best and most imformative magazines I've ever read. In fact I am so impressed with it I have ordered a subscription which starts in April. Well actually I ordered two...why two? Well I'd forgotten I'd ordered one and then ordered another one and I can't get out of it because I paid upfront rather than monthly and they said the best they can do is start the subscriptions months apart so I thought that was good because I could start one when the other one finished in twelve months but that isn't the case, the longest they will let me start them apart is four months so I'm going to get the same issue twice for eight months but I guess I could always give it to someone. I am just a bit of an idiot for even doing it twice, I did one late at night when I was really tired and the other one I did the next morning thinking I'd only been on and had a look so in future I will only do things when I'm not tired.
I was meant to go and get myself a new TV yesterday and then that changed to today but with no assignment started and me not at the word count I want to be it won't be happening today, it won't be happening until I can spare a couple of hours to go and get one, I might get one on Thursday if I get the time because I am going to see my mum with her mother's day gifts because she gets back from Cyprus at 8pm on Wednesday so I'm going over Thursday afternoon providing my assignment is done, if it is I can also go and get myself a new TV.
I guess I should end this here and get my lunch so then I can come back and sit down and start my assignment. Dancing on Ice is on later too which I'm looking forward to.
