It's blog time...normally Sunday is blog time but I won't have the time to do it tomorrow so I thought I might as well get it done now.
Well this weeks I've mainly worked and done some study. They are both as important as the other but I need money so that kinda has the edge over study right now although now it's left me in a made rush to get the coursework done by the end of Thursday so I have six days to do my assignment.
I am working on two sets of accounts right now for a husband and wife and they are taking a little while but I'm hoping to have them done by the end of Monday or Tuesday at the latest and I'm going to dedicate most of my Monday to doing them so it might be a 10-12 hour work day but once they are done I can just go onto my study/coursework and get that done. There is a lot to do and as I said, it needs to get done by the end of Thursday because the the assignment is due the following Thursday. I will start it Friday but I might not get much done on Friday because I might get stuck on it as I've not done one in nine months so getting back into it might not be too easy. Saturday I won't get any done because I'm out and about all day so it will be a all say session on the Sunday and everyday until it's done.
I've been buying a lot this week too. I ended up getting some things off the Body Shop website because I got a email haha....they do work. I got a white musk set for my mum for mothers day and I got myself a Jasmin set because I love Jasmin and I got a cool free gift and free delivery because I spent over £30.
It's funny because when they came the next day I'd totally forgot I'd ordered anything and when my dad walked in with the big box I was saying I'd not ordered anything so when I opened it, it was a surprise.
I also bought somethings from La Senza but I am not going into details about that haha. As well as La Senza I had my weekly buying session on Play.com and got some CDs which I'm still waiting to get.
I got a Scarf from River Island off ebay (brand new) and then I ordered some things from Assocorize and then Evans because they had 20% off everything which was pretty good.
Oh and I also got 20 free pictures from Snap Fish (sign up to get that) and I bought a Mother's Day cup off there which has a picture of me and my mum on and I got that half price too which is good so I have that and the body shop to give her and I will be getting her some flowers.
Today I was buying things in Boots including a birthday present for my friend Pete. He asked for some aftershave so I went and smelled some and ended up getting one that Lynds recommened for me. I even got a free Max Factor gift and £2 off my mascara so I was happy. So I guess this has been a spending week for me.....oh and I bought my dad's birthday present also which is 2 Neil Diamond tickets to see him at the O2 in London in June. I'm taking him down with me in June anyway so we'll be going for two days longer than origially planned and I'm in the process of sorting that out right now.
Oh, my mum won't even be in the country for mother's day so her mother's day is going to be on the 6th March.
She rung up to let me know she isn't going to be in the country for mother's day because she knew I'd be wanting to take her something.
Her and my step dad are off to Cyprus less than 5 weeks after they got back from Malta. I wish I was going for a week or two. They got a last minute deal and are going all inclusive for a week and it costs £250 per person which is pretty cheap. I saw a deal for 2 weeks today for £500 per person and if I had a grand going spare I'd take my dad away for a fortnight.
So she gets to move mother's day for her haha.
I'm doing a duathlon in June.....am I crazy? haha. I am far from being fit right now but having a goal like this will push me to work out and train for it. It's for charity too so that makes me want to do it even more, I might even get some sponsership for it because it's all for a good cause.
So it's 5K run followed by a 20K bike ride and then finishing with a 5K run. I'm doing the bike ride and I'm hoping to find someone to do the running parts for me because I know I can be fit enough to do the bike part but maybe not the running bit and I don't want to come last so if I have someone to do the running it will help me out a lot.
I am planning on doing 3 bike rides a week and walk/run 2-3 times a week. The bikes rides may only be 30 minutes each to start off with down Witton Park but it's better than nothing and 3 a week is a good start and there are various things I can do round Witton Park and the surrounding woods and roads and everything, there is a bit of hills and rougher routes I can take myself round as I get fitter.
My training is starting Monday so I need to find time to fit this in, it will probably stop me from watching my daily DVD some week nights but the end result will be worth it I am sure.
I also have plans for a 5K charity race in August and a 10K charity race in July so of course the walking/running will eventually go from 2 times a week to 4 times a week at some point. I won't be doing any races (running wise) before July so that gives me time to get fit enough and I hope to progress a lot further than I've done before.
I should be having a driving lesson this week. I'm a good driver and too confident according to my dad but my reversing needs work and I need to re-learn how to drive the way you need to pass your test (I can it anal driving haha) so I'm gonna need 3-4 lessons to sort that out so that will cost around £100(ish). Oh and did I mention that I plan to pass before the 6th of April? I've got 6 weeks today to do that in so I've basically got to go out for a lesson with this instructor (who I found when I out driving and was stopped behind him at traffic lights and was impressed by his car haha) and see if we get on etc and then see when he can fit me in and then put in for a cancallation driving text and hopefully get it before the 6th April and of course pass it.
The reason I've picked that date (as well as it actually pushing me and motivating me to finally getting this done) is because my dad is doing a 14 mile race in the Lakes and I want to drive him up there and there is no B roads all the way there and there is some motorway and only being a learner I can't drive on the motorway so my dad would have to drive that bit and it's OK on the way there but after running 14 miles and spending the day in the Lakes I don't think he'd fancy any driving so I want to be able to drive us there and back so I need to pass my test so watch this space.
Right I need to go to bed, I'm cream crackered and have lots to do tomorrow.

In the middle
Well it's Sunday again and this seems to be the say that I have started to do my weekly blog on so I thought I might as well come on here and continue with my Sunday blogage.
Well this week I've been trying to get over my cold still. I was feeling much better on Sunday but when I woke on Monday I felt worse than I'd done 12 hours previous and I'd run out of the Day Nurse Capsules I was taking. I just took Anadin and normal painkillers but by the end of the day I knew they weren't working so the next day I asked my dad to pick me some more Day Nurse Capsules up when he was out. Then I didn't get any of them until around 6pm that evening but 2/3 hours later I felt a little better, after taking some, so I knew they were helping. I took 3 doses a day for the next couple of days and the cold started to clear up and I was feeling much better.
Wednesday I finally felt well enough to get stuck into my course work. My course had started 10 days pervious to that and I need to do 15-20 hours (sometimes more) a week to keep up with it and it was horrible not being well enough to do any. So finally being able to get started on the Wednesday was good, I didn't do as much as I would of liked or needed to do but I got started on the course finally and I also had to watch Citizen Cain. That was hard, I didn't like it and it was very strange and hard to get into yet people say it's the best film ever but I'm guessing they must of been stoned when they watched it because I don't see how anyone could sit all the way through it. I watched about 40 minutes of it and then sat on the computer with it on in the background for the next 40 minutes before giving up and coming in here to use this computer so I didn't see the end. My course is about film and television history and we have these various films to watch and I don't think any of my assignment questions are actually about films.
I managed to start back working again, finally, and got stuck with something which was basically a pain to do and took me longer than most things (work wise) tend to take me but finishing it was better than finishing most things because it was harder to do and more time consuming so finishing it was a good sense of achievment I guess. We don't have much work in at the moment but there is enough to keep my dad going full time and enough for me part time which suits me fine with my course work too.
So things started to get back to normal on Wednesday after just over a week of not being able to do anything. Which also meant back to housework which of course was no fun whatsoever because the house was such a massive tip that it took me 3 days to sort out. Not 3 full days but maybe 3 hours a day for 3 days and then it's still not 100%. I don't have a clue how it got so messy because both my dad and I were sick so I wasn't making any mess, the most mess I made was in my bedroom and on my sofa with just throwing things around and leaving them around. But the house looked like someone had come in and thrown things all over the place. Normally I spend around 30-60 mins a day on keeping up with the housework from anything like tidying to polishing to just sorting things out so I guess a week or so without doing any of that ends up with the house being a bit of a mess.
Nothing much else to really report from this week I guess. As you might of seen I did have a little stressy on Friday evening but that is all sorted out now and a lot of my pictures from Sunday are now up on my running clubs website and yesterday is all but a memory for me now.
I'm looking forward to watching Dancing on Ice later on but before all that I have some things to sort out round the house. I also have to write a list of things that need doing next week and I'm also hoping to fit in a hours work before the end of the day. I'm also hoping for an early night, I am so tired. Yesterday I was tired from around 9pm and I guess I should of gone to bed but I was up till around 3am sorting pictures out and putting them on a picture account (I have Ringo which I've always used but I wanted a Flickr account but I turns out I've had one since 2005 but I have 3 pictures on it and it looks like I forgot I had it). Then when I finally went to bed I watched a music DVD and then didn't get much sleep so I'm very tired right now so a early night will be good.
Next week it's back to the good old trying to get fit again, my health is about 90% at the moment so I'm well enough to start my daily walking plan and hopefully also my run/walking again. I bet I'm back at where I started last year but I hope to get my fitness back as fast as possible. Oh and I'm back on salads too, I love them but over Winter I don't eat them because it's not exciting having a salad when it's cold but I'm going to try and have one every lunch time and have more salad with my tea in the evening. I haven't started eatting fruit again because the stuff I like the most is more expensive this time of the year but I'm eatting veg all the time because I never stop eatting that regardless of the weather.

Stranger in this town

Well there really isn't too much to say about this week really because I've spent most of it ill.
I started to feel ill on Sunday but it didn't feel like anything too major, in fact it felt like something I used to get a lot so I thought I'd be OK by the middle of the week but I was very wrong. Tuesday afternoon the top of my mouth and my throat started to get sore and I knew as soon as it started that it would turn into a cold, I just hoped my throat wouldn't get too bad because I get tonsilitis a lot and I have to have them out next time I get it bad so I was hoping I wouldn't get it. By Wednesday I had a full on cold/flu thing and it was getting worse and worse by the hour. I think the worst day/time was Wednesday night/Thursday morning because that's when I felt the worst. Friday I felt the best I'd felt in days but I still felt rough and my voice started to go which was horrible.
Saturday I was better than I'd been in days and my voice seemed to be a little better. I cut right down on the medication like I do as soon as I can and I knew I was finally on the home stretch so-to-speak. Although I did wake up with a cold-sore which is never good because I can't stand them.
Saturday I ended up driving my dad around the course route for the Blackburn 10k which my running club organizes each year. He basically has to go round it and mark out where the signs have to go and it's much quicker if someone is driving the person round so they can get out and spray paint the road so the next morning they don't have to mess around and find out where the signs go and they can go out and just put the signs out.
We even went to Asda and got the weeks shopping in too so I must of been on the mend because I'd been so ill all week I didn't even get out the house.
Today I've been and marshalled the race with Lyndsey. I tried to get a good nights sleep but that wasn't going to happen. I couldn't get to sleep because my coldsore was agony. It was all I could feel, it stinging and pulsating all night. I was in a half sleep when I wasn't led there awake so I didn't even need the three alarms I had set because I was wide awake when the first one went off.
I was a little worried when Lynds wasn't here about 20 mins before the start of the race but she was stuck behind a learner driver. I don't think I've ever been a bad learner driver even when I first started to learn and I've been stuck behind some really bad learners before and I know I am still a learner because I've not taken my test yet but I've been driving for almost 2 years now and people tell me I am nothing like a learner......(anyway today I decided to book some lessons for next month so I can be told what are my bad habits and then sort them out and then go for my test and get myself a car).
Anyway Lyndsey was soon here and we were on our way to where we needed to be. There was loads of cars parked and people running up and down as we passed Witton Park but we weren't marshalling there. I knew where we were marshalling but I'd only been there once via car and that was in the oppostire direction to way we were going so it made it a little harder to work out how to get there but we got there.
Our marshalling point was 3/4 of the way down this little lane, there are only a couple of houses down there and the rest of it it all fields and wooded area and there is a cemetry further down there. It's a really nice place to walk, I like going round there with Lucky or I ride my bike from my house and end up down where we were today.
The first runner wasn't going to pass us until around 20/25 past 11 so we just had a laugh as we waited. The race started at 11 so we just waited around and when we saw the lead motorbike I wasn't expecting it even though they were due. Ronnie was riding the lead motorbike and he said hello to me as I've known him about 10 years.
It wasn't long before the person in second place was running past and then there was a steady stream of the fastest runners passing us.
After a while our arms were hurting so as soon as there was a little break in the runners we ran across to the opposite side (one of us were stood at each side) so we could they use our other arm, I think we swapped at least twice more before the 2 marshalls (at the post before ours) ran in with the last runner and relieved us of our duities.
It was nice because a lot of the runners thanked us as they went past which I thought was nice but they know we do it for free and give up our time to go and do this so it's just nice to hear a lot of them say "thank you" or even "hello" as some of them said on their way past.
We then went and picked some signs up before going back to Witton Park and picking some more up. I couldn't see my dad, he was in hiding when we got there haha....well he wasn't but it took me a little while to find him. He then did the presentation as I stood there in the sun dying for a drink with dry lips which were covered in dry skin.
Lynds decided to go then and not go back for the meal, I don't blame her for going because I was bored stood around and it was so hot out there. I was boiling and dying for a drink.
As soon as I got my dad still for a minute I managed to find out there was some bottles of water and bananas left over so I had a nice drink which I'd been dying for...I was totally dehydrated!!
I then went and got the car and my dad filled it up before we went up to The Butlers Arms to join some of the other marshalls for something to eat and drink.
The wait for the food was long and when it came there wasn't much and it was very bland so I won't be going there again that's for sure.
It was a good day but my coldsore was throbbing like crazy, I had a banging headache and a tempreature (teach me not to forget sunglasses again) so on the way home we went to Morrison's. I got some Anadin, paracetomol and some better cold sore cream. I have since had all three and my coldsore is still throbbing but not as bad as it was, my headache isn't as bad but it's still there (it's from the sun, I get it a lot) and I am still burning up but I'm much better for taking them and hopefully will be OK in the morning.
I am hoping to have a good nights sleep tonight as I've not slept much all week with being ill so need to catch up on my sleep.
I've been watching Dancing on Ice this evening and the result show is on in a few minutes so I will be off now to watch that hehe x
