Saturday night is alright for fighting - 12th October 2007

i am bored senseless hence me doing a blog on a Friday night. Yeah it's Friday night around 7pm and I am bored with nothing to do. This time next week I will be in Amsterdam but that doesn't help with my bordom now. I am sat on my laptop, hmm I better be careful as it might break under the weight *lol*, and yeah I am finally on the internet using it. This last two days I've used my laptop more times than I did in the 4 months of having it. I got it in June and because the wireless connection didn't work I stopped using it and kept on using the desktop. But yesterday we got wired internet on my computer and today we got it so two computers can work at the same time so I've been working on this most of the day. It's a shame the chair in here is a back killer and the desk is too high for the laptop.

Anyway I can finally use my laptop to my hearts content. It just sucks as I have feck all on here, it's all on the desktop so I will be moving a few things across here but not filling it too much.I got myself a Zen Stone MP3 player and I have to tell everyone not to buy one. OMG! They look cute and are nice and small but the bad outweighs the good. It may only be around £20-25 to buy but I wish I'd gotten the Apple Nano. Right first of there is some really rubbish pre-programmed tunes on here, if you think being put on hold and some awful rubbish being played is bad then check out the rubbish they put on here. You can't get them off!! So you might hear 4 songs you have put on and then all of a sudden it will play on of those tunes and you will feel like your on hold to NTL. Next if you skip more than 3-4 tracks in a row then it pauses for ages and some times then plays on of the above said tunes. Next rubbish thing is the one and off button is the play button but there is nothing about that so unless you use your imagination and try everything out on it then you won't know. Next thing I put around 400 songs on here but it seems to be playing around 75 of them, they just keep popping up and non of the ones I look for are on here and I am getting bored with what's on it because the other songs seem to have gone for walkies. If that isn't bad enough then you wil hear some of the same songs every ten songs or so which isn't always bad but you know it would be nice not to hear some of the same songs for a while. Next thing is battery life says 10 hours but I never seem to get more than around 6-8 hours off it. Then the only way to charge the thing is via a USB cable which again there is nothing wrong with that until you see it's about 4 inches long and nothing 4 inches long is any good. I could carry on with the bad things but I will list a couple of the good things. It does look good, yeah it has a lot of bad things but it's looks are one of them. It is very small and fits in your pocket and there is always a plus. The bottons on the front of it are very easy to use. The volume is good too and so are the earphones. I know the bad outweighs the bad but I aint getting rid of it just yet, it is good to listen to music on and I'm in no hurry for anything else right now but I won't be keeping it forever.

So as I said, I will be in Amsterdam next week or as my friend keeps calling it Hamster Jam *lol*. Just to show you how rubbish I am at Geography. The other day my dad started to say that I was off to Holland next week and I said I wasn't going to Holland and in fact I was going to Amsterdam so he said and what country do you think Amsterdam is in?!! Totally clueless or totally blonde as the case may be I turned around and said ...erm...Amsterdam?!! haha. OK so I didn't know it was in Holland but who says Holland instead of Amsterdam?!!I finally have some money together for my trip but not as much as I wanted so I am dipping into my New York savings but as soon as I have the money from work it will go back into my savings. I'm doing it just this once because I need the money badly right now but I do have it coming from work I've done so it should be OK. I decided I am going to get around £200 worth of Euros which is around 280 Euros and any other money I need I will use one of my bank cards for. I have about £400 set aside for 5 days minus taxi fares to and from Manchester airport.I thought we had to leave here at 4:30am on Friday morning but it turns out it's 4am now so of course I have to get up earlier and I am wondering why I am even going to bed *lol*. But if I don't go to bed I will have to go bed when I get there and I don't want to be asleep most of the first day so I am planning on going to bed around 7pm on the Thursday evening. I may not get to sleep for a few hours but I will be resting and it's better than being up and about. I hope I get at least 5 hours because I can't function on less, well I can but I don't like to, so 9pm is around the time I hope to fall asleep by as I am getting up between 1:30-2am so I can shower, do my hair etc. Anyway to make sure I am tired I am planning on probably getting up around 5am the morning before and working hard all day and making sure that I am tired in the evening oh and no diet coke after about 3-4pm otherwise I will be awake with teh caffine. So evening on the Wednesday night I wil be going bed earlier than normal so it means getting up earlier on the Wednesday morning so I will probably have a earlier rise everyday so I can get used to it and work a routine so I get up earlier each morning leading up to Friday. It should be interesting to say the least.This weekend I will be doing things in prep for next Friday like restocking on toiletries etc. There is always one point every 3 months or so when I need to buy tons costing me a foutune. Mainly when my make up is low, I have to buy mascara, foundation, eyeshadow and lipgloss tomorrow. I don;t wear cheap make up but I dpn't wear the most expensive but that little lot will probably come to around £35-40 tomorrow which isn't too much but then I have razor blades to buy which are around £7, toni and guy shine spray which is £8, Olay make up cleansing wipes which are around a fiver and then a few other pieces so it's going to be around £75. Luckily last week I got face cream otherwise it would be another £8 on top of that. I only need to top up on make up every 3 months for the major stuff and' every two months for lip gloss so it isn't too bad. The more I wear make up the more I have to buy more but now unless I am leaving the house (other than walking the dog and running) I don;t bother with make up unless I have to.I think I will pick up my euros in the week and other last minute things, tomorrow it is more about essentials and I probably need to go and do myself a list so I don;t forget anything. I already started to write a list of items I am taking just to make sure I don't forget anything. I could do with getting another suitcase but I will have to wait and see how much money I have left and how much it will cost me to get one. I have to buy myself a new laptop bag tomorrow. I have one I've never used but it's 6cm too big for hand luggage so I am getting one that just fits my laptop, it doesn't matter if the mouse and plug/adapter fits in as I put t be checking emails as I have via outlook express but I will be able to check in on facebook and myspace but don't expect long messages anyone as I am on holiday and I won;t be spending ages sat on the internet when there will be things for me to see and do.Oh there is a mini bar in all rooms. I've always wanted to see a mini bar in a hotel room, not to drink but to see what's actually in it so yeah I am sad but I am looking forward to seeing the mini bar *lol*. I don't think I will be having anything out of it, will have to check the price list as I;ve heard things in mini bars are pretty pricey.Anyway so it;s Fri night and nothing to do, I should study but I am tired so no study for me. I will see what's on the TV and write me a little listy out for the shops tomorrow!! xx
