TMA time yay ;O)

As I sit here doing my TMA I thought it was time I put another entry into my blog. I am on a break and not doing this to avoid doing my TMA, I wouldn't do that as I have to finish it today.

So I have started A217 and am now doing the TMA for it which isn't due until 15th Feb but I need to get it out of the way today because I need to get back to DD100 tomorrow.
I am enjoying doing two courses at the moment but I might not be saying this next month because the Religion one will get more intense because all I had to do for this TMA was the introduction book which wasn't very big at all so the TMA isn't too hard for me though it may prove difficult when I have read it through and realised what a load of all rubbish I have written.

It was my mum's birthday last week, well 20th if that can be still be counted as last week. Weeks start on Monday for me so to me it is still last week.
It took me ages and a lot of walking round shops to find something for my mum and I didn't just get one thing because I just couldn't think of one thing that she would like so in the end I got her, a lavender scented pillow, a big lavender candle in a glass jar thing, 4 lots of different chocolates, a hand knitted scarf and a bouquet of flowers. She seemed to really like what I got her so I am happy and she is pleased with the pillow.

Talking about the scarf, I liked it so much that I went back to the shop a total of two times and bough the same scarf three times. I got one for me , one for my mum and one for my good friend Caroline :O) It is a really nice soft scarf.

I am working really hard atm with my study and everything but I do thing myself slacking every now and then and getting caught up writing too many emails and replying to too many emails and I know there are more things I could be getting on with but I pushed myself too hard the other week so last week I was wiped out for some of the week so I calmed down with the amount of things I was doing.
I am managing to get a lot of study done which I am happy about and I really need to keep that up more than anything because if I fall behind I will have to drop one of the courses and I really don't want to have to have to do that. So I am trying to keep a little ahead than needed just incase I get ill or I can't do any for a few days for whatever reason.
I don't tend to study on Saturdays as I am out most of the day and Sundays I don't really like to study but I will do if I am behind or I have a TMA to work on like I do today. Monday to Friday I do work on my coursework and I spend a fair but of time on it but I don't think I spend as much time on it as I should.
When I did my first OU course back in 2003 I didn't have a computer and didn't have the distraction so I used to study a lot and my TMA marks got better and better with each TMA. I wish it was like it was then and that I didn't have the distraftion of this computer than I am now sat in front of doing this on.
I tend not to turn it on because once it is turned on that is when it becomes the distraction, I don't need it to do my course work so if I am struggling with my concertration i don't turn it on or I leave the room. I do tend to come in here first in the mornings and turn it on and then go and get my breakfast and sit here in front of the computer with my breakfast and start emailing and whatever and then I have the problem of dragging myself off here, well I used to do because now I check my messages and reply to them and then I leave the room and go and sit in my living room and study!

I treated myself a fair bit too, I bought myself a new pillow because I bought two duck feather pillows the other week because that is what I had since I started using pillows in 2000, I didn't use them before then.
So I bought them and used one with one of my old ones and it is so uncomfotable and I can't sleep like that so I bought a new one and what it cost me for that (non duck feather) pillow it came to more than the two duck feather ones together.
I tried the pillow out last night and it is too thick but seems comfy enough so it will do me.
I also treated myself to a few other things which I shall not discuss on here ;O) as well as the scarf above I talked about I got a few other little things and a DVD which also got me a free £5 voucher which I can use from the 1st Feb.

There is so many birthdays together because it was my mums on the 20th and then the 27th was Marc's (my nephew) and then on Wednesday (1st Feb) it is my brothers. He will be 29, the last year of his 20's. Oh my, I will be the only one of us left in our 20's from next year. I will be 24 this year but still another 6 years before I reach 30. My brother Barry reached the big 30 last year, I am the youngest in the family and my dad is the oldest.
I am going out for a meal next weekend with my family, I got invited by my brother the other day and I can't wait. I don't know where it is going to be as he hadn't decided but I know where I would like it to be though I somehow doubt it will be there. Oh what should I wear? I might need to buy something from Next ;O) Maybe just a top, I will have a look to see what there is.

Anyway I think I better get back to my TMA now as i have so much I need to do today.

SOoooooo tired....

I am so tired today and all of the past week really. I have been working hard none stop all this week and have done so much.
It is amazing how much you can get through if you put your mind to it and I know I could of done a lot more than I did as well. So it goes to show you can do so much in the week when you want to and I sure wanted to work hard this week as I have so much to do and never get as much done as I need and want to do.
I want to keep this up too as the hard work really pays off and as well as that a lot gets done and it keeps me active all day so I am becoming more active which is good.

The good news is I passed my third TMA for DD100 and I am well chuffed! Not only that but I got a mark 12% higher than what I got last TMA. I was hoping to get a 1% rise in my mark and was going to treat myself so to get 12% higher it is amazing and I am very happy with that mark and it is my third ever highest mark that I have gotten on a TMA :O)
I treated myself to a DVD as I didn't know what else to get because I treated myself yesterday when I was in town for working so hard all last week.

From now on I am going to treat myself if I work hard all week and get a lot of work done, I am also going to treat myself if I good TMA marks.
I really want to improve my TMA marks and that means working harder on the course work and even the TMAs and not leave it all till the last minute so I have to rush through it.
I did have to rush through some of the course work because I took a week off at Christmas and then I got ill so I couldn't do any for a few weeks and fell well behind which wasn't good.

I got all my course work for my new course, A217, and it looks like a really good course. I started a little bit of it last week and plan to do a couple of hours tomorrow and then some on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and am hoping to start my TMA on the Thursday and work on till until the following Monday when I want it finished so I can then go back onto DD100 for a couple of weeks and then doing the next TMA for that course.

I haven't spent much time on here as I used to and that is good, I do spend a couple of hours during the day on here and an hour in the evenings but other than that I try to get on with all the things I need to be getting on with so I don't get much time on here. Sometimes I don't even come on in the evenings because I am either too busy or too tired.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! To everyone who knows me and for those who have just stumbled across my blog for the first time.

What a way to bring in the new year or maybe not as the case may be as I have flu :O( Flu for new year now that isn't a good start. I had a bit of a cold and started to feel worse on New Years eve to wake up on New Years day wishing I hadn't. Not hadn't as in being dead but hadn't as in hadn't woken up with the flu.
Yesterday I was due to go over to my mums for a family meal and I so wanted to go but at the same time I felt like death warmed up and wanted to sleep all day, I didn't get much sleep the night before so I felt pretty out of it. I decided to go anyway as I rarely get to see my family and this is the last thing at my mums house as she is selling up and moving away from where she is now.
I felt dreadful and as the day went on I felt worse and I didn't want to be out and wanted to be here in my PJs chilling out.
The meal was amazing - credit goes to my step dad Dave for his excellent cooking skills and I was the only one to clear the plate, might of had something to do with the fact I hadn't eaten up until that point and it was tasty. I was full up after it though so I was glad they didn't give out dessert straight away.
We sat and talked for a while after but I wasn't fully there if I am honest as I felt dreadful all the afternoon and the smokey room wasn't helping because they all smoke and me and my dad are the only ones who don't smoke.

I was so glad to get back home last night and I don't mean it in a nasty way, just that I could sit around in what I wanted and not feel bad for not being socialble as I am not the most social person when I feel this ill.
I was in bed by 9pm last night and slept for 13 hours waking up with a really stiff neck that I still haven't gotten rid of yet though I am hoping it will go soon as it is very uncomfortable. Going 13 hours without any painkillers was horrible too and I wish that I had gotten up in the middle of the night for some as I wouldn't have felt as bad as I did when I woke up.

Anyway here is a list of what I go for Christmas and off who.

Off my dad I got:

8 driving lessons
My theory test being paid for
Large bottle of Baileys
Little Britain calendar
Little Britain Poster
Revlon Make up Set
Samsung Cable and CD Rom for my phone - still to come.

Off my mum and step dad I got:

White Gold Earrings
Angora Baker Boy hat
Silver Necklace with a pearl that you get in the clam - ask me!
A hair extension tool and hair - don't ask!
A high fashion leather disk belt
A high fashion Metallic bag
A white sequin scarf belt

Off my brother Duncan I got:

Charlie and the Chocolate factory 2 disc DVD

Off my brother Barry I got:

Batman Begins 2 disc DVD

Off Roy and Madeline I got:

Perfume and body lotion gift set

...and still to come off my best friend, Pete, is the Dan Brown box set.

I think that is everything, if I have forgotten anything it isn't because I don't like it, it is because I have flu and feel like rubbish right now.

I really enjoyed Christmas this year, in fact it was an amazing day and I loved every minute of it. The lunch was made by me and my dad with many home made things like we make every year and I must admit it was a very tasty meal and I look forward to it all year long and this year it was spot on.
What I love about Christmas is the feeling of Christmas and everything that goes with it, I am like a little kid still when it comes to Christmas and I think what excites me the most is watching people open their presents and seeing their faces light up when they see what they have gotten.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
